Not to take my own tangent, but Hillary and Bernie are under pressure from many angles to craft their message so that it matters to the perspective of their critics.  Nothing should take away from the words in this heading.  Trump is another case of geometry at work***, formerly known as triangulation of the third way. 

Back to what matters!?  Do they feel the Bern?  The operable "they" being the parties and campaigns, it is good exercise, or in some cases exorcise.

Satire is not a two way street.

That is the proposal.  That it is unlikely to be possible for there to be equivalence on the right and left.  Now that is an awkward statement or phrasing of the* obvious. 

There is difficulty comparing anything at opposite ends of the political spectrum, let alone** middles.  The Olbermann/Beck comparison is along the lines of journalism more than parody.  Limbaugh along the lines of Colbert more than Olbermann.  It may be along the lines of who is pulling whose leg for whom.  That's the gravitas!

To paraphrase the difficulty for which there is more work needed, parody may be more difficult for those in power. But this may confuse parody with satire, or either with having a point, confounded by the(~)irony of being direct about the point in a world of hypocrisy.

Hard to Believe

... Stephen Colbert will testify before congress "in character". But then politicians are always in character, whether they have any or not.** At first my doubt was cast on the source of the claim, but given the nature of events and recent dialogues, it just might work.[*]

The Senator should face the music and correct things right away. Maybe the Fairness Doctrine then? Just kidding. He should start with Steven Colbert. CORRECTION: The Ed Show (Apparently he handled Colbert well enough, and Ed Schultz is who he should fish or cut bait with.)
The Senator makes some very good points even though his list is not fair and balanced on the face of it.

Well, last night.

Since it is likely that the above link will be pulled* from the internet, this proves there is a conspiracy of the liberal media.

Nevertheless, I will comment on Bill O'Reilly's interview of Dennis Miller, comedian.
Dennis Miller makes Bill O'Reilly look...like a "fair and balanced" interviewer. Dennis Miller makes Jonathan Swift look...like a satirist.
I could go on, but it was all about Dennis Miller and... hate and... lame at that. Except for one laugh: "I don't know why people say things out loud sometimes. I think maybe..."

Speaking of lame: Rachel Maddow is spoofed on SNL. I don't know if it is just me, the characters or the writers, but it was not so funny. Maybe it is hard to spoof someone who is funny and doing a good job, without needing to do an even better job. Burris may even fall into that category, but it could be just in comparison toBlog-oy-ya-bleep.

But something must be "read into" that by Bill Kristol: The reason conservatives had food is that they provided it, which was nice for Will to host Obama, while the "liberals" were invited by Obama and he was just being conservative or not letting you read something into that also.
